What Can I study?

Certificate Program

Certificate programs either replace or supplement degree programs, many students find them useful throughout their careers. Many people have found great professional success by regularly updating their knowledge base. A certificate program can educate students in one particular aspect of their field. The duration is usually 1 year.

Diploma Program

Diploma programs are a series of classes focusing on both theory and practice in a particular field. They are not as broad as degree programs and they usually concentrate on a particular area. For example, in an undergraduate degree program in business, the student will study in depth a broad range of areas such as marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, organizational behaviour, production, economics, and several others. Under a diploma program, on the other hand, he/she will concentrate his/her studies in a specific area. For example, in a marketing diploma program the curriculum will include topics such as consumer behaviour, marketing research, marketing strategy, international marketing, internet marketing and others. These are all different topics related to one specific area.

In general, a diploma program is required to provide a certain minimum number of instruction hours for completion and is usually 2 or 3 years in duration. Our Partner Universities and Colleges offer a wide range of diploma programs in any field of your choice.

Undergraduate Degree

Almost any subject is offered at the undergraduate level and can also be studied at our partner universities. You can combine several subjects to make up your degree, or concentrate on one major throughout your studies – it is up to you!

Students tend to focus their studies from the start of their undergraduate degree on one or two closely related academic areas. Therefore BA and BSc degrees are typically 3 or 4 years depending on the country. For example if you study in the UK your undergraduate degree will take 3 years to complete where as in Canada and the USA it is 4 years. However your degree from England will not be an equivalent degree to a Canadian or USA degree. We always advise our students to speak with one of our Admissions Advisors to choose what’s most suitable for them.

Masters Degree

A master’s degree is an excellent way to build upon the skills and knowledge you’ve already gained while completing your bachelor’s degree and working in your field. Although earning one requires lots of time and sacrifice – however it can help separate you from some of your peers. The reward is often better pay and a more fulfilling career.

Our partner universities have an outstanding range of quality graduate degrees, many of which are offered in some of the world’s leading departments. Masters degrees are typically 1 or 2 years depending on the country of study.

PHD

Admission to a PhD program usually requires completion of a Master’s degree in a related field, with sufficiently high grades and proven research ability. In some cases, a student may progress directly from an Honors Bachelor’s degree to a PhD program; other programs allow a student to fast-track to a doctoral program after one year of outstanding work in a Master’s program (without having to complete the Master’s).
